Snow and ice, bears and wolves and arctic storms - the Nordic Wilderness Challenge is one of the
toughest sled dog races of the world. When The Three Investigators are asked by journalist Carol
Ford if they want to help her with a coverage about the race, the boys are more than pleased to
do so. But their promise gets them involved in a dangerous adventure ! Mysterious accidents happen
on the trail and there are reports about spooky shapes appearing in the snow. When a serious
incident happens on the frozen river, it is crystal clear: The Three Investigators have to act
quickly if they do not want this adventure to be their last ...
