Pete is pumped when Rafael Solares asks The Three Investigators to look into an unexpected—and
potentially explosive—case. Rafael's friend, Dr. Godwin Cuthbert Stonebridge, an esteemed archaeologist
and professor at UC Santa Barbara, is rumored to be involved in smuggling ancient Greek antiquities
out of the country—a claim that Stonebridge is completely unaware of.
The case takes a dramatic turn when the Minoan Treasure - an extraordinary collection of artifacts
that Stonebridge himself discovered—is brazenly stolen from the Santa Barbara Museum of Antiquities.
The police soon collect a DNA sample from Stonebridge, and The Three Investigators head to Santa
Barbara to investigate. At a shop called Aegean Treasures, Mallory makes a surprising discovery:
an authentic silver Alexander tetradrachm hidden among reproduction coins.
The next day, while with Rafael and Dr. Stonebridge, the team is shocked when police arrive to
arrest the professor. But questions linger. Why is Stonebridge so secretive about the plain silver
bracelet he's wearing ? What is the link between the theft and the staff of Greek billionaire Dimitri
Dimitriou ? And where have the thieves hidden the treasure ?
With the help of their old friend Christos Markos in Greece and Stan Bloomberg, an IT expert at
the museum, the team narrows down their suspects. Pete and Mallory stake out two of them, while
Jupiter and Bob are dragged into a tense confrontation in a dark SUV. Soon, The Three Investigators
find themselves locked in an isolated lighthouse on Dimitriou's private estate, while the thieves
sail away with the Minoan Treasure. Can Jupiter's exceptional memory, two old flashlights, and the
United States Coast Guard help them turn the tide in time ?
